Recipe for low-fat mini aperitif pizzas

Traditional cuisine

Pizza is a delicious, colourful and, above all, tasty dish.

Nowadays, it is available in miniature format, i.e. as an aperitif. It is important to know that, like the classic version cut into triangular slices, pizza as an aperitif is quite high in calories and is not suitable for dieters.

However, contrary to popular belief, it is possible to make it lighter and lower in calories, so that it can be eaten in one bite, without feeling guilty. In this quick and easy recipe, the yeast and oil have been replaced by fat-free cottage cheese, and the classic mozzarella has been replaced by a low-fat version, to make it lighter.Indications

Ingredients

150 g flour
100 g cornflour
125 g 0% cottage cheese
1 egg yolk
1 ball of low-fat mozzarella
2 slices of white ham, rindless and fat-free
1 small jar of tomato paste
Basil
Salt
Pepper

Preparation

Preheat the oven

Before starting the actual preparation of the pizza appetizer, you will need to preheat your oven to 180 °C for about 10 minutes.

Prepare the pizza dough

To prepare the dough for your homemade low-fat pizza, pour the fat-free cottage cheese, cornflour, egg yolk and pinch of salt into a large bowl with the flour. Mix everything well until you have a smooth dough. Then form a ball and knead it gently by hand. To succeed in your recipe, you must ensure that the dough for your homemade mini pizzas is soft and elastic. Roll out your dough while stretching it.

Shape the bases of the mini pizzas

Once you have finished rolling out the dough to an even thickness, you can now start cutting it. Use a glass or a cookie cutter to form small circles of about 5 cm in diameter. Carefully place them on your baking tray, which you have previously floured.

The filling

For this step, start by brushing each circle with tomato paste. Then place a few cubes of ham and finish with a slice of mozzarella.

Baking

These mini pizzas are baked at 180 °C for about twenty minutes. Do not add the basil until just before serving.

Even though they are low-fat, the pizzas as appetizers are pleasantly tasty.

Thanks to a selection of ingredients with a low fat content, they are low in calories. The oil-free preparation is therefore dietary, and people who are watching their figure closely can enjoy it with confidence, without having to worry about the extra fat.

It should be noted, however, that in order to lose weight effectively, a healthy, balanced diet and regular physical activity are essential.
