Losing weight with 2 meals a day

To lose weight, we are often told that skipping one of the 3 meals of the day does not work. But it is possible to lose weight by eating only 2 meals a day without putting your health at risk. You may be asking yourself, “Is this enough to have all the energy you need to get through the day?

The most important thing is to give your body guidelines. This means that you should always eat at fixed times, whether it is 2 or 3 times a day.

We sometimes think we eat 3 meals a day, but this is not necessarily the case. A cup of tea, a glass of fruit juice, a simple yoghurt or even a quick piece of toast is not considered a real meal.

To lose weight with only two meals a day, you can skip breakfast or dinner, but never lunch. This is called intermittent fasting. It is not really a diet but an eating habit that you give your body.

You can start with one day a week, then two and so on, so as not to overwork your body. You can choose to eat only in the morning and at noon or only at noon and in the evening. Here are some examples of menus that you can copy and revisit as you wish.

Menu 1 (without breakfast)

Lunch :

Mixed salad: treviso salad, green salad, batavia, cherry tomatoes, onion, lemon juice and olive oil
4 sardines in oil
mashed potatoes
a piece of emmental cheese
1 orange

Dinner :

artichokes with vinaigrette
2 fried eggs + 2 slices of wholemeal bread
1 yoghurt
1 applesauce

Menu 2 (without breakfast)

Lunch :

cucumber and tomato salad with olive oil
salmon papillote
brown rice with mixed vegetables: carrot, onion, artichoke, pepper
1 plain yoghurt
1 ramekin of strawberries

Dinner :

gluten-free pasta with tuna + sweetcorn seeds + green olives + rapeseed oil
1 portion of light cottage cheese
1 slice of pineapple

Menu 3 (without dinner)

Breakfast :

Tea or coffee without sugar
1 wholemeal bagel
1 hard-boiled egg
1 portion of cottage cheese
1 small bowl of fruit salad of your choice

Lunch :

Steamed chicken breast + Bayonne ham + 1 ball of mozzarella + tomato
wholemeal pasta with parmesan
vegetables sautéed in olive oil of your choice
2 kiwis
You should not alternate between the two options so as not to upset your body. Either you always skip breakfast or dinner. In other words, you can either stop eating between 8 p.m. and noon the next day, or between 4 p.m. and the next morning.

You can have a small snack in the afternoon (cheese, dark chocolate, almonds, fruit) but avoid any other type of snack.

Drink a lot of water to get rid of toxins and to hydrate yourself. Please note that this programme is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, under the pretext of limiting weight gain or any other reason.
